It's working out very nice, I run it on Turbo mode when I'm smoking and it really pulls in the smoke. I run it 24 hours a day and when I wake the next morning and go to my office there is no tobacco smell at all. Then I kick it down to high speed. I'm very happy that I don't have to brave the cold, it's 27F here today on Long Island. We are expecting a snow storm starting tonight into Thursday. I love my Rabbit Air Minus A2.

Awesome that it’s working out! Smoking outside when it’s cold SUCKS. I live here in Georgia about an hour and 20 from Jacksonville Fl. It still gets down into the 20’s sometimes. Every winter my wife says “we need to move more souther” (she’s from eastern Kentucky)cray
Off topic, you said that you are a USAF vet? What did you do while in?

I was an Electronic Warfare Systems Technician. I worked on F4G Wild Weasel aircraft. I was stationed at George AFB in SoCal then sent to Osan AB in South Korea.
Sweet! I was a F-16 Crew Chief/engine/hydraulic tech. Was at MacDill in Tampa (early 80’s), Kunsan (late 80’s) and Luke till 93. The F-4 was always my fav growing up, that thing is a beast! Got to launch the last F-4 out from MacDill when we were converted to F-16’s. As for the Army 2008-2015 spent a lot of time in Sierra Vista, was with their unmanned aircraft systems program. There ain’t too many of us Airmen on here......gotta stick together or the Marine/Army guys gang up on us;)

Glad to hear! I will definitely keep these in mind if I need to switch to indoor smoking. Right now my big propane construction heater does the trick in my work shed.

Do you put something along the bottom of the door? Do you leave a window open a crack? I can't remember if you mentioned that it not.

I got out after 4. I went to school on the GI Bill and became an electrical engineer. I spent some time at Fort Huachuca at their Electronic Proving Grounds while working for BAE Systems. I retired 7 years ago after 31 years with BAE

I crack open my office window a bit but now it's 27F here on Long Island so it's shut.

I’m sure that has many individual filter layers? Are they all reusable after cleaning or do they have to be purchased? Am just curious

I was an Electronic Warfare Systems Tech on F-111's. Mountain Home AFB, ID 80-82, RAF Lakenheath UK 82-84. AN/ALQ 94, ALR-62, 119 and 131 Pods. Just thinking about those days. Mountain Home was one the very few bases that had it's own railroad... about a 10 mile stretch across the desert to haul coal to the base for the hot water plant. And the sunsets. Back when when Mount St. Helens blew. And the range fires in the summer. Good memories.

I have been curious about how well they will work in the long range. Living in North Dakota, there is a very short smoking season. I have been given permission to build a study. I would like to have it built by next winter.

I've also just received delivery of a Rabbit Air A2. I used it one cold evening when I couldn't finish a full bowl outside.

It limited but didn't erase the smell as I was smoking the pipe. The next day there was still a smell lingering in the room (you notice it when you leave and return, not so much when you've been living in it). Over the course of days, the odor fully cleared.

I'm treating the air filter as an emergency alternative at this point, for an occasional pipefull when it's nigh impossible to smoke outdoors. I'm not sure yet whether smoke odor will build up in furniture over time, or whether more regular smokes will be possible while still being able to eventually restore fresh air in my living space.

I don't doubt that this is the best air purifier of its class. Just not yet sure if it can prevent frequent smoking from seeping into my home.

My office is 10ftx10ft and I bought the one that covers 815sq ft. It clears all the odor out overnight. I run it on turbo when I'm smoking and then cut it back to medium when the odor sensor light goes blue. By the next morning the odor is gone. I have 3 kids and a wife who can't stand smoke, so far no complaints.
