R.I.P. Tom Petty, Age 66

Sad, so sad. I think his music peaked at Wildflowers, and it's still one of my favorite albums.

there's a great documentary on netflix or amazon, called Sound City..

I watched this last night again on Netflix, what a great documentary about a rock legend!! He will be missed.

I went to a ton of concerts this year and had a long conversation about how I didn't want to miss his 40th anniversary tour with my wife. In the end we made the wrong decision and didn't go. :crying:

Two of my quirks are loving the works of Lewis Carroll, and hats. I happily blame Tom Petty for both.

He was a clarion voice in my personal soundtrack. His first album hit when I was a sophomore in high school. "Damn the Torpedoes" came out my at the start of my sophomore year in college.
I always liked him more even than Springsteen -- and I liked Springsteen a lot.
A great loss.
