Author or Watership Down has passed at 96. Good long life, his own warren has called him home.

Never read the book, but it is a lovely, melancholic film...very talented man.

The movie was fantastic. I never had the chance to read the book, although I would like to. There was an animated series as well, that was actually quite good.

Loved the movie since I was a kid. The book was very good. Still watch the movie every once in a while. I truthfully didn't know he was still alive. Didn't know about the animated series either. El-ahrairah has called him to the warren in the sky.

96 is a good run. Ive read Watership Down and Shardik, and have fond memories of the WD movie.
