had an amazing run. Seriously huge fan and one of my first big musical fandoms. I guess the ninth life ran out though. 
I'm saddened but knew it was coming. At least he played the farewell show two weeks ago with the original members of Black Sabbath (and a slew of other rock royalty).

Sad but not unexpected. He and Sharon were talking about assisted suicide not too long ago.

It is indeed a huge loss but not surprising.
I saw him during his "No More Tours" tour when I was 17. I'm 50 now and could never have imagined him performing for so long.

Saw him in 97 at Ozzfest with Black Sabbath. What a hell of a show. Ozzy seemed immortal with how much stuff he did to his body throughout the years but no one escapes the Reaper. Hope the Prince if Darkness is resting easy.
RIP. Ozzy and Keith, champs of healthy living, sorry to lose his exemplary leadership in the field.
Very sad, but he has been dwindling the last few years.
Ive seen him in concert more than any other artist. Both with Sabbath and by himself.
In the early 2000s my friend Billy and I went to see him at Darien Lake in WNY. After the concert we were walking to our car, the concert was over for about an hour.
Walking through the parking lot we saw Ozzys bus stopped. There were two guys standing outside the bus talking. It was dark, but we recognized Ozzy as one of the dudes.
Of course we walked right over and said hello. He was an absolute blast. He called us over and asked how they sounded. Apparently they were having sound issues with their monitors. But Ozzy, the legend he was, just pushed through without being able to hear the music properly. We told him it was absolutely perfect. He said "right on".
Billy and I still tell anyone who will listen when we are together. We talked to Ozzy for about 15 minutes.

I am crushed…but not surprised. I’m so glad he got to see/feel how much he influenced the entire Heavy Metal genre at the show two weeks ago. May he Rest In Peace.
glad I got to see him in 2013 for the black Sabbath 13 album tour.
Hell of a run, especially considering the lifestyle early on.
