Very cool idea! I wouldn't want to do this to a favourite record, but the thought of finding an abominably kitschy record at the local Value Village and making it into art sounds like a plan for the weekend!

What type of bowl did you use to form them? I've tried this with a couple different bowls and mine look nothing like this.

I just used a big plastic mixing bowl. If you use something with a steep edge it should help. Don't be afraid to get in there with your hands and shape it a little. The vinyl doesn't get too hot.

I wonder if those tortilla-bowl makers they advertize on TV would work on records as a mold. - baronsamedi

I thought of that as soon as I saw the pictures.
I've never seen a record formed like that and now I want one! :lol:
