I just asked a friend to buy a pipe in Japan, and even though it was a bit dirty, I could clean it.
The question that follows is, where can I look up Japanese pipes? There are too few records on PIPEDIA.
I have a great passion for small Japanese pipe craftsmen, if you know where to find detailed information, please contact me, thank you.●由 HIGUCHI Pipe Junichiro Higuchi 雕刻 [Image 1 of 23032801.jpg●由 HIGUCHI Pipe Junichiro Higuchi 雕刻 [Image 7 of 23032801.jpg●由 HIGUCHI Pipe Junichiro Higuchi 雕刻 [Image 4 of 23032801].jpg●由 HIGUCHI Pipe Junichiro Higuchi 雕刻 [Image 3 of 23032801].jpgHEL

Whether it is inserted backward depends on whether the person smokes or not, obviously this person is not, and this situation can also be seen on EBAY.

That's what makes it Japanese. If it were the other way, it would be Chinese. puffy

I have no idea how one would go about researching Japanese pipemakers. I only know of Tsuge.
That makes sense. I guess old Dunhills were made in China. I've seen a lot of them with the stems like that.
The best way to research it is full emersion. Become Japanesse (don't just move there, alter your genes) and also become a pipe maker. Short of that just ask around till someone knows something.
