I added a tin of MB 7 seas (regular) to my last online order. The tin has arrived, and its tin date is well over 2 years ago.

I already have a chocolate aromatic open (Boswell's Piper's Pleasure) so I wasn't planning on cracking this tin right away.

Is this an aromatic I can keep/cellar for a few more months without losing the flavor of the toppings? Somewhere I got the impression that aromatics don't necessarily cellar well, and are best enjoyed relatively fresh.

Thoughts?

unless the seal is broken it should be totally fine. I've had some aromatics that have astonishing ages on the tin. And frankly they taste pretty much like the newer tins in most cases. Also while not as saturated with PG as Captain Black you could leave it out open for a few months and still have pretty moist tobacco.
