Yesterday I purchased through auction on eBay a Mr. Brog olive wood Oliwka Edition pipe, and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival. Does anyone have any experience smoking an olive wood pipe? If so do you have suggestions? I'm planning on breaking in the pipe as I would a briar (1/4 several times, 1/2 several times, etc.) This is my first Mr. Brog also.

I was just looking at one on Amazon. I'm sure if you choose a cool-smoking tobaccoo and go slow, it will break in just fine.

I saw that one (I think) on eBay and thought it was a great looking pipe. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it as it looks like it would be a sweet one!

@nsfisher

I don't know. I think it's a larger pipe, but not sure of that. I got this one for $51 - much reduced!

I have made/smoked an olivewood pipe (one of my 1st tries at pipe making).. T

They smoke just fine/just like others have said...take your time and break it in like any

other briar pipe and it will be fine
They don't call this one a jaw-breaker for nothing...weight is about

4oz, has a 1" chamber diameter...it doesn't have the looks of that

one, which I really really like...but you can see me light this one up

from space ;-)

That jaw breaker looks like it has 2 meaning.

it'll break the smokers jaw and it has the capability to be quite the weapon....

@mr brog
I haven't forgot about it. I've been busy with work and travel, and have not had the right opportunity to begin the olive wood adventure. I'm looking forward to it; I know it will be great!
