I recently purchased a Hardcastle pipe from ebay.

I believe someone had tried to restore it and the restoration was done poorly.

The white color of the "H" on the stem was gone.

I am wondering is there anyway for me to recolor/restore it?

If yes, what should I use?
Thanks

I have had a few of mine come back to life using paragon on the stem, I am sure there has to be a paint or acrylic that can be used for a more permanent solution, maybe one of the members who make pipes can answer this one for you..

I may not understand the problem, but I think "WhiteOut" or a Liquid Paper type product, followed by wax, will do the job.
Be grateful that the seller didn't drill a shallow hole in the stem and fill it this way!

I assume that the actual logo isn't completely buffed out. If it's just the white that has been removed, but the tracing of the letter is still there, with a little bit of trial and error, you can get it back. Lightly thinned out white-out has worked for me in the past.
Good luck

Yes, white out works good. Sometimes you have to daub it on two or three times allowing it to dry for several hours between applications. I did not use wax after I was satisfied I had done my best with it bacause I wouldn't be able to touch it up in the future, but then again I haven't had to redo it. Seems pretty durable. Like the idea of the golf club stuff but have no idea where I could get just a tiny amount. None of my friends are duffers.
