Question about Savinellis

Always go for non-ordinary pipes that make you feel special while smoking it.

Thanks everyone for all the great replies and comments!! I'm still undecided at this point, if it were me, I would pick the Dublin, but I'm not the one smoking it so, I realize guys are not always into the flashy things lol. I have now delved off into the Rinaldo line of Italian pipes checking them out as well. I must say they have some beautiful ones, and also more expensive than Savinellis I've been eyeing this one so far:

Does this line of pipes smoke well? If you had a choice, would you choose a Savinelli or Rinaldo? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to decide on a birthday present for hubby

I've never smoked a Rinaldo, but this one has both Savinelli's beat on looks alone. Very nice indeed!

That Rinaldo is a beaut! I would say to go with that one. If for some reason your hubby doesn't care for it, you could save it until August and send it to me for my birthday :lol:

I’m not a bent pipe kind of guy, but I do have several Savinelli pipes and consider their autograph line to be very nice pipes. With all that be said and since you asked, if I was your husband and you gave me the Rinaldo pipe you posted as a gift… I’d be so happy that I’d marry you all over again. Lucky guy! :mrgreen:

I like the dublin with the "bone" stem. I just purchased one of their author/ball shapes in the same finish and stem and love it.

My Autographs smoke nice, but nothing more than any good smoker. I really like that Rinaldo. Quite a looker.

I'd vote for the Rinaldo. I love the clean lines of clear briar.

That bent dublin is beautiful and overall I'm not a fan of dublins.

You chose the best pipe, in my opinion. Also I'm pretty certain everybody here will agree that Mike has chosen very well. I hope you'll share many happy years together, but what should he get for your next birthday? We could play 'postillion d'amour' again, whisper a few suggestions. Maybe you'd like a pipe, too?
