Recently I’ve switched to aromatics like Blue Note and Solani 131, mainly because of my wife and the “fragrance.” Of course, I do miss my Virginia flakes, like SG’s Full Virginia Flake. I was just looking at reviews for Best Brown Flake and I notice that people say the room note is pleasant. So, um, can people comment on this a bit more please? Is it really pleasant and, if so, in what way? Also, if you don’t mind, how does BBF compare to FVF? Thanks so much folks!

BBF is a bit milder and sweeter than FVF, at least for me. Can't comment on the room note as I can't tell room note when I'm smoking it. I think room note for most Virginia is not quite as good as aromatics but way more tolerable than latakia blends for non smokers.
Right. I wonder if FVF is only see as “tolerable” next to BBF’s “pleasant” because it’s stronger then.

I will say, as a fan of BBF, I agree with Hoosier. BBF is definitely milder, probably due to the fact that it has a fair amount of burley....good burley too.

Idk man, smoking freedom in one hand, wife in the other? You can always call in love again, but you CANT get a 10-year old aged tin of FVF or BBF without either waiting for a long time, or spending some cash. How much does the wife cost you annually and how much is a few aged tins cost? It’s all about the money, bro!!

are we talking about the Best brown nro 2 by G&H Company or that of Best Brown by S&G company? If this is about the latter, how it does compare to G&H Brown flake unscented? I have never smoked this BB flake by S&G company
Best Brown and Brown Flake seem really similar in my opinion. I don't know if they are the same or not, but they're fairly close to my taste.
I never really got a response but maybe I need to try for myself about the room note. I have to see what my wife will say. I’m really curious if people think BBF has a pleasant note. I’ve never tried the G&H #2 BTW.
Personally I'm not a fan of the room note but I'm not a fan of the way most VA's smell in the house. If you're wife is used to Blue Note (which I love) and Solani Red Label (which I also love) then she wont like the smell of BBF cuz it don't come close to either of those lol.
