There are amateurs speculating on things they haven't formally studied and making shit up.
And there are actual archaeologists who have devoted their lives to the subject.
The whole "they don't want you to know" attitude is such b.s. Any archaeologist would give a right arm to be the discoverer of ancient aliens or Atlantis or whatever. They go where the evidence leads, and there's no evidence for this fringey stuff. Even Graham Hancock admitted that he has no evidence -- only speculation.
