@Franco Pipenbeans i suggest you take @simong up on his offer to safely dispose of the pouches’ contents. I would hate to see you end up with the same fate as this other chap who loaded a bowl of aged bruno and went for an evening stroll.

😳 Crikey, if I smoke it will a gaggle of semi-clad ladies walk me off a cliff? I am happy to take that risk!! 😆😆😆

All this St. Bruno talk today... the forums haven't been this exciting in along time! And we got some vintage Bruno in this thread! My oh my!!!! what is a man to do? Possibly light up a pipe full of St. Bruno? Thank you, don't mind if I do!
I opened the pouch last night and…I can confirm that the pouch note smells more like your Dad’s old slippers than St Bruno. 😆

I’ve put in a slice of apple peel and I’ll leave it for a few days and reassess then.

I appreciate that some people will say 🤦🏼‍♂️ “don’t do that!” but that’s a tried and tested method in my house. 👍🏼

I hope that the Texas weather has made your St Bruno taste like the finest it could be sir. 🫡

On a tangent: Freybourg and Treyer - does anyone know where to get this in the UK? I know they sold up and shipped out from London some years ago, to Germany (I think?) but I can’t seem to find any online baccy shop in England that sells any?

A friend has a house in Hungary, and regularly drives through Germany, and he can’t find any there.

How do I get some? Does anyone know of a continental tobacconists that will have some?

At least I presume there’s some age on the stuff? Looks old, without those pictures on the pouch?
Aged Clan?
I would of thought that’d be like ‘Nora Batty’….no improvement with the passing years.

I must be in the minority thinking that though. Nearly every pipe smoker I see in my hometown is smoking clan, nearly always in a falcon too.

The Danish Pipe Shop is the only place I’ve seen it on the continent.

Seriously, it’s not bad and I can’t stand the stuff when it’s fresh.

If your st bruno is dry and smells like granpappys ol slippers I find a few drops of whisky brings it around nicely. Just mix it in well then let it dry a bit before smoking it. The whisky brings back the smell and flavour better than anything else ive tried and ive smoked st bruno for 30 years. Try it ..im sure it will be a nice surprise

I don’t have any whisky but I do have some brandy. I might give that a go because, at the moment, it smells fusty, almost like there’s some Latakia in there.

A few drops of brandy should do it. Ive used soberano brandy in tobacco. Just be mindful of how much you use...if you make it too wet it will be harsh when it dries. Just a dash and mix it well. Bear in mind st bruno is quit a potent smoke, yet fresh its got a rich flavour. Let me know how you fare with it.

@Franco Pipenbeans Not as old as the 11 packets of Clan I bought off Facebook last year; dated year 2000:)
I know the old packets have more tartan on them; I used some Clan tartan to make Christmas 🎄 card borders!
When I went to the Bonnie Prince Charlie event near Derby was smoking Clan in his clay pipe; I thought the tartan packet fitted with his outfit. This was before they got covered in health warnings:)
Should I get a packet of St Bruno to smoke in my clay pipes????
This clay pipe smoking Redcoat has sucked down packets of Clan, Condor & St Bruno regularly:)
