Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I really have been flip flopping all over about buying an American carver. I really looked around for a while and luckily I ran across this one which called to me. I have seen too many weird shapes and a lot of small pipes. I cannot see myself smoking a blow fish, or volcano, or a tulip or a saucer or many of these wacky shapes. They are pretty to look at , but I like my pipes to look like a pipe.
gwtwdbss, if a realtor had brought me this deal I would have been out well over 10k for a commission, I figure a Rad Davis pipe is more than fair, maybe a few Rad Davis pipes are in the future, now that I think of it.

Well guys this beauty came in today and I am currently smoking a bowl of 2001 Escudo in it. The pipe is very well made fit and finish wise, light as a feather at only 40 grams, and easily took three plus discs of Escudo which makes it a nice group 5. There has not been a hint of a gurgle, the airway is nice and open, and the pipe is staying incredibly cool. The mouthpiece is extremely comfortable and makes clenching a breeze. Over all I am more than happy with my purchase and will definitely be looking to add more to my collection.
