A lot of us, when we start up in this 'new internet era' of pipe smoking, are anxious to taste as many of the delectable flavors we read in tobacco reviews and to become experienced as quickly as possible.
The palate requires development and training and flavors we taste or don't taste will change dramatically over time.
I found that my experience with most burley blends that it took me awhile to suss out the subtleties of each and to realize their value. Burley is more typically bland (even sour) and strong as opposed to VA which is bright and sweet. That's why they mate so well. or why they have such an enjoyable contrast.

P.S. Cube Cut does indeed have some sort of topping (sugary maple brown sugar perhaps, cocoa?) But had to try some since I LOVE CROONER which has that similar Cube Cut Burley but found P.S. far more moist than Crooner and could perhaps benefit from some dry time.
