As many of my friends on the forum know I almost died from an autoimmune disease caused by Long Covid. Improvements have been made and I am getting stronger. I may even get my food tube removed by the middle of July. I am getting stronger, but there is so much more to be done. With my progress I decided that I needed a simple pleasure that I hadn't done for months-my pipe. So I hobbled to the man cave and gazed over all my pipes. I went for one of my MOLINA pipes. I knew whatever MOLINA I picked would be a good smoker. I picked my MOLINA JEAN CLAUDE, a beautiful pipe that smokes like a dream. I know that MOLINA pipes are not one of the Forums favorite pipes, but I know if you got one, you would buy more because they are great pipes. Picking a pipe wasn't the problem, it was picking a tobacco. After all these years of tobacco accumulation it was whether I wanted an aromatic, non-aromatic, English, Balkan, Codger or Match Blend. I love them all. I decided on Holiday Mixture Match because it has just about everything in it. It was a good choice. There is something therapeutic in the process of picking a pipe, selecting a tobacco, packing a pipe properly and putting the flame to the leaf. I enjoyed every moment. I went to my sun room and placed my sorry ass on the chair that I can get out of by myself now and contemplated how low I had been, where I was now and how far I have to go. The pipe is such a thought provoking item. I guess the reason for this post is to ask my pipe forum friends to enjoy the process and mechanics of smoking the pipe. Don't just toss the tobacco in the pipe and fire it up. Enjoy the process, savor the moment. It is a pleasure we all enjoy so don't take it for granted. It is a pleasure that can be taken away from you quickly-as I know. Yes, it is a mere simple pleasure, but one I will not be doing without. So my dear friends, get your pipe and have a good smoke and count your blessings. Happy Smoking!
Good Luck to you for a speedy recovery ! ? Depending on which science you trust ... the pipe smoking may actually help you recover ... at least psychologically and maybe physically. What did one of the member's signatures used to say ??? There is no illness that can't be cured by whiskey and a pipe ??? ?:ROFLMAO:
