Profile of a Chinese Pipe Smoker: Old Gan

We have a second installment from our new correspondent in China, A. Miller. Mr. Miller crafts the story of "Old Gan" in a way that is entertaining and intriguing. Gan is not your typical Southwest Chinese citizen ... and he is also not the average Chinese pipe smoker. This makes him even more interesting to an American reader, and maybe even to Chinese perusers as well. He definitely sounds like a fun guy to hang out and smoke a pipe with.
