So what the heck do I do about a gurgling pipe?

Dry your tobacco before loading. My Petes don't gurgle.

All good suggestions. I'll look into pipe mud techniques. I'm also thinking about dedicating it to English blends as these tend to burn cooler and drier for me.

pianopuffer - first with a sharp knife, then with a " skrueforsænker / Danish"

perhaps counter sink in English

A funnel in the tenon. I make it in almost all my bent pipes and also in some

straight ones.

I have it from Lars Ivarsson who wrote about it in the magazine " Piben "

back in the 70ties.
