Something that I have done that seems to work. Take a deep breath and hold for a second and let it out slowly. Do this several times. I have consistantly feel asleep this way, but often forget to do it.
Are you working hard enough physically each day? Try running a few miles and lifting weights. You can eat or smoke some indica, but there are other natural things that don’t mess with your dopamine as much: valerian root, 5-HTP, GABA, L-Theanine, a good screw, chamomlie, etc. One thing that really helped me when waking up at some messed up time was to just not worry about it As that will make it worse. Turn on a dim lamp and read a book that you find to be less-than-riveting, and you’ll doze back off soon enough. Just try stuff until you re-establish your normal rhythmIt really shouldn't be a problem. I'm well used to it. But do get tired next day. However, I found something interesting tonight. Problem with not being able to fall a sleep leads to being hungry. And once I part take in middle of the night snack, it will keep me awake further until I get hungry again. It becomes a vicious cycle of hunger and insomnia. Too late to get some stuff drink to knock myself out. Might as well skip the sleep.
A lot of alcohol, especially beer, has b vitamins. B vitamins energize. But yeah, have 2 drinks like a reasonable man and get poor sleep. Knock off a 6er like a person half my age - sleep wonderfully. Sometimes I can’t decide which is worse…Alcohol can be a big problem but I’ve gone weeks without drinking and still have the same problem. I noticed liquor is worse for me then beer when it comes to that. One reason I also got into pipes, cigars gave me heartburn, no heartburn with pipes!

I had great sex and then ate homemade coconut shrimp. Had two glasses of whiskey and smoked my new savinelli with Billy budd. I think maybe the shrimp Billy budd combo might have something to do with it.

I think I now know what your problem is, and that is your wife is currently planning to kill you.3 minutes? What's taking so long? I've done it in half that time. My wife hates it when I finish, yell "Touchdown!" and then leave the room for some Gatorade while she yells "I'm not done!" I try to encouraging and usually yell back, "Sorry babe, gotta hydrate! Don't worry hun, you'll get faster, you just have to practice more!" Then she doesn't practice at all for like 4 months.
