I didn’t read all the replies, but not burning in the LA fires, true Gawith🔥. Since I pulled my Gawith flakes into small pieces, zero issues, like logs into kindling…. That’s how to start a fire. But still pack them lighter like flake tobacco, not ribbon cut.

I read quickly thought you meant the flakes, with the twists I cut them into very thin ribbons with scissors, you did mention cutting and pack them loose like flakes, and they take a few more relights to get a hot cherry, but they’ll go.

All the twists are sopping wet. Chop them up, put them on a plate, put them in the direct sunlight outside for 10-15 minutes till they're nice and crispy. That's the best way to smoke them. Otherwise puff relight, puff relight, puff relight....

Ive found SG Grousemore needs a lot of drying also. When it feels dry to the touch, dry it for another hour.

No problem with Grosemore. Actually I love the GH/SG blends which are 90% of my blends and as said I have no problem with all of them including the notorious ones difficult to keep on.
Everything said here is true and I am doing, just don't get why only this specific blend gives me so much trouble. I will try to grind to bring to even smaller pieces.

When I smoke a G and H twist ( I also chew them) I just use my sharp pocket knife to cut a couple of thin about 1/16" or 2mm coins and rub them out into a ribbon. Make sure to break up any 'nuggets' that are leftover since they don't burn very well. I load the bowl a bit looser than a typical similar ribbon cut. I find the key to any G and H twist/plug/flake is to use a small pinch of some tinder at the top of the bowl, for that I will use whatever easy to light blend with a similar flavor profile I have on hand. For say the Rum twist, if I have any rum or Rum like aros kicking around or even a straight Va, I'd add a small pinch to the top, just enough to cover the whole top of the bowl. That really helps to get it light well ( still might take a couple charing lights) but once you get it light with a good cherry on top, your off to the races. I can usually smoke bowl down of Gawith twist or plug down to tge bottom with maybe one or two relights near the bottom if the bowl, sometimes no relights at all. I don't dry my tobacco at all, even anything from Gawith including plugs or twists, I just smoke it as it comes. If it's on the dry side I may pack it slightly tighter, if it has decent moisture or is pretty damp I just pack it a bit looser. But the key is to get it light well and evenly.
