NEVER MIND. THIS DOESN'T WORK. 
Private Messages are now called Conversations.
To find your PMs / Conversations, look in the upper right, next to your avatar for the little envelope icon.
Click on that, and in the lower left corner of the box, click Show all...
If you want to "delete" old PMs, select the one to delete (there is nothing actually labelled "delete", you have to leave the conversation).
When you click the checkbox, look at the bottom of your screen. A little shaded area pops up where you can select, "Leave Conversation".
Then you are given a choice to let the other person respond and revive this conversation, or you can decide to completely delete it.
Also, notice the Select all box if you want to do a big clean up.
It selects all on the page, and then you have to do that for each page.
