I have yet to try the Carter Hall match blend from P&C. Chatham Manor I think.
I suspect it will be better quality tobacco than what they put in Carter Hall. Might make converts out of a few of us.
Oh yeah, don't think I voted... Carter Hall would be my choice.

Perhaps the tobacco used is "better quality", in some way, but I found the original to still taste better.
Chatham Manor, IMHO, was maybe closer to PA in flavor with less nutty and more cocoa.
Russ's blend Old Companion was a little more along the lines of CH.

I experience them differently. Where Prince Albert has a cocoa-heavy pouch aroma, it gives me a faint plum flavor (quite pleasant). Carter Hall greets me with chocolate and raisins in the pouch, it only gives me a taste of chocolate (slightly sweet).
I should clarify, these are very faint flavors. Suggestions mostly. I love the tobacco forward taste, which reminds me in both cases of the classes Marlboro reds (in a good way).
This is one of the fun things of the hobby, I read what people describe about a blend, and fine many different opinions. We all seem to experience them differently and fin different things to like. Fun, huh?

I like both, but I slightly prefer the cocoa flavor of PA. (Though I prefer Edgeworth RR to both) This style is, for me, strictly a summer smoke.
