Yup. It sucks.
not too much. It just moves. Which means it never has to get boring and there are always going to be new horizons. So fair trade. It just moves God imagine if it stopped changing before life got around to making tobacco? Your pipes would be nearly useless and what would we do with all that briar?

According to their website, they are still making it. From their website:

Our Products & Ingredients

We manufacture and market large machine-made cigars and pipe tobacco. Large cigars are a growing segment within the cigar category.

Our cigar brands include Black & Mild, Middleton's Cherry Blend, Gold & Mild and Prince Albert's. Our tipped cigars are filled with pipe tobacco. This began in the 1960s, when we discovered that while many people enjoyed the taste and aroma of pipe tobacco, they did not have the time or experience to smoke a pipe. This led us to develop a new product — a pipe-tobacco cigar. Black & Mild Cigarillos are made from a unique blend of both air-cured and pipe tobaccos. Our cigars are large cigars as defined by the Internal Revenue Code for excise tax purposes.
Our pipe-tobacco brands include Prince Albert, Carter Hall and Middleton's Cherry Blend.

Ingredients
Tobacco is the primary ingredient in our cigars and in our pipe tobacco products.
Besides tobacco, our products include a variety of ingredients such as water, sugars, propylene glycol, glycerol, and natural and artificial flavors.

Health Warnings
In 2000, John Middleton, and other cigar companies, entered into a Consent Decision and Order with the Federal Trade Commission. This order requires that one of five health warnings be displayed on cigar packaging and advertisements (including point of sale advertisements) on a rotating basis.
All our cigar packaging and advertisements display the health warnings in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Consent Decision & Order. The required warnings are:

  • SURGEON GENERAL WARNING: Cigar Smoking Can Cause Cancers of The Mouth and Throat, Even If You Do Not Inhale.
  • SURGEON GENERAL WARNING: Cigar Smoking Can Cause Lung Cancer and Heart Disease.
  • SURGEON GENERAL WARNING: Tobacco Use Increases the Risk of Infertility, Stillbirth and Low Birth Weight.
  • SURGEON GENERAL WARNING: Cigars are Not A Safe Alternative to Cigarettes.
  • SURGEON GENERAL WARNING: Tobacco Smoke Increases the Risk of Lung Cancer and Heart Disease, Even in Nonsmokers.
Here is the PDF that they have on their site:

May not really be gone but it is really sold out everywhere...kinda strange. I did find it at one place for $43 for the tubs with no option for buying enough for free shipping. If anyone wants that, send me a dm

I may be wrong but Milan tobacco first put up on their website that Prince Albert was no longer being made. Since then they have added the flavored varieties of PA as no longer being made as well. I guess we shall see. I also believe that Virginia (where Milan Tobacco is located) is about to pass a no flavored tobacco ban so maybe they are referencing that...

"It just moves" is one of the real-est statements I've seen online.

It does appear at least that they may have discontinued Prince Albert. They did get rid of Middletons Cherry as well as Apple some years back but can still be found at local tobacco stores in my area (Metro Detroit). Since they have pulled the rug out on several VERY OLD blends I do not trust them and picked up 2 tubs from local smoke shops just in case (as well as a tub of Granger) if it is a blend you can't live without you may want to pick up some just in case as this is a very iconic tobacco with a lot of loyal followers, so it doesn't hurt to have some on hand either to smoke or to use for trade collateral in the future. There is something special and nostalgic about most of these old time OTC blends, they burn well and I have yet to find a single one that was repulsive (YMMV).

Granger is made by STG, so it has a better chance to stick around. But, if you're fan, you can't take chances on any pipe tobacco product now.

I’ve been surfing all over Google, called B&M shops around the States, just trying to find 1 pouch without the warning labels on it, I like to collect too, but this is not easy to find...
