95% of my smokes now are either CH, PA, Walnut, Sugar Barrel. Guess I am just an "Old Codger" at heart. I have tried over 100 other blends, but........ I like my baccy simple.
Yes,the bowl on Tim's pipe is removable. I have a few of his "prototypes". He built the tooling needed to do the threading on these pipes. He's very talented in several areas, makes a hell of a knife, but can no longer make them due to health reasons.I dig that pipe! I would call that a "Ratchet Pipe". Is the bowl removable?
Obviously, Tim, you're a very talented fellow. Welcome aboard! If ejames says you're a craftsman, that's a darned solid recommendationThanks cynyr! ejames (Ed) is an amazing craftsman, 99% of what I know about pipes I learned from him!!! Even more he is a great friend! He and I went to the Music City Pipe show last month and had a blast. Thank you for the kind words and thank you Ed as always for the kind words! I did spend a lot of time researching, developing and machining the tooling to be able to do the threading system on these pipes. I love a challenge and that was a big one! Lol. I want to get into making traditional pipes now though as the "System Pipe" limits the pipe shapes that can be made.
Thanks again,
Tim
Hi, cynyr here are some more pictures one of which will show the threaded bowl and base on one of my prototype pipes which was made from Cherry wood.I dig that pipe! I would call that a "Ratchet Pipe". Is the bowl removable?
