Ok so when i go online shopping for TAD i always see a price, and then a sale price. Are these true sale prices? Or are these the regular prices, and this is a marketing tactic to make one think they are getting a better price? I guess i dont order based on price usually just whatever i want. Just curious.

I'd say the list price is the manufacturers suggested retail price, but because of economies of scale and marketing the "sale" price is always going to be much lower than the list price. I work in retail and we always have items even at regular price that are lower than msrp. I think its a way for the manufacturer to instill a certain value to their product while also giving retailers room to price things at what still appears reasonable to the consumer at a decent markup. Of course "sale" pricing usually will encourage urgency to buy at least in a percentage of consumers. Some consumers especially regulars of certain retailers will see the patterns of pricing and wait it out or judge whether it is actually a good price. Other consumers will see sale and think they have to buy right away to get that price not realizing if they wait until a semi annual sale they may get a better price or that they are in reality getting more of an everyday "low" price.

I realize that B&M's have to charge a bit more, but i notice that the list price is what my B&M charges. So your reasoning of being the MSRP makes sense. I still buy from the B&M when i can and always will.

I agree with hawk60ce and rothnh about pricing and free shipping. If there's no free shipping, I look elsewhere.

Right now, it's a great time to be buying tobacco because most of the vendors are offering free shipping over $50.00 versus the standard $100.00. Just have to shop around.
