He is right, prices will never be this low again. If you buy on the internet now, out of state you are taking advantage of a tax loophole. Inevitably that will be closed. Tobacco costs twice internet prices in a NY B&M. It will end up being 2-3 times current internet prices.

As I have said in the past, taxes are not the only worry:
-Ban of all online tobacco sales.

-Ban of all tobacco flavouring agents. (except for the exemptions they'll give the cigarette manufacturers)

-Ban of tobacco displays and institution of plain packaging and warning labels.
This is already the reality for most outside of the United States.
Russia - RUSSIA - just banned smoking in public places...
Think we are being alarmist about the threats to tobacco? You are dreaming.
We don't know when the hammer will fall, but fall it will.

Yeah PA! But some stores have moved there shipping to a PA warehouse. So I do get hit with the 6% sales tax. But looks like a combination of being a commonwealth and a strong tobacco lobby is keeping the state off our backs, but the Internet tax is going to have the Internet stores going crazy. The confusion in laws will have them charging a buffer to guard against possible future fines. They are going to fast track this and it will be a mess. I'm to tired to get into the "gray market".
It does look like the B&M may recover through the mess, only dealing with set taxes.

I have been doing a great imitation of Rocky the Squirrel since last Fall. I figure the window of reasonable tobacco prices will close soon and I need to urgently "squirrel away" favorite tobaccos. I calculate I will always be able to buy pipes at a later date as pipe sales are not regulated or taxed unreasonably. I am lucky that the tobacco tax in my state is only 45%. Unfortunately, the markup in the local B&M is about 100% so online purchasing is my best bet. So TAD now, PAD later.

In Turkey you can't sell any tobacco products or alcoholic drinks online. Vending machines are long gone.
We also have a smoking ban in place; pretty much everywhere is off limits; restaurants, bars, cafes, tobacco shops. You can not smoke in or around schools or any other building for education or culture; that means entire university campuses are off limits.
You can not even designate a smoking room even in a tobacco shop, no smoking in airports, trains, taxis etc. If you want to have a smoking area it should have at least 3 sides open including the ceiling. %10 of total deck area of inter-city/national ferries and %50 of open-air facilities can be designated as smoking areas.

Let's say you have a bar, you smoke, your waiter smokes, your customers smoke; nope, no smoking!
Oh and taxes are around %70.
