Pipe tobacco is a 'no' for shipping into Australia. I have a buddy that moved there for business, it's kosher to send cigars but customs clamps down on most all other tobacco.

You could simply query the proper authorities. I presume they'd give you prompt and correct information. We here, for the most part, are only guessing or providing anecdotal information which may or may not be good. I'm betting tobacco can be shipped there if the regs are properly followed.
