Cortez, do explain your avatar for me! I think you have explained before but I forgot!

My avatar is an admittedly amateurish personal sketch. I kinda like the minimalist sketching style -- though I have no talent for such things.

I suppose at some deep psychological level it's the image I want to project as much as anything else. I never thought much about it, but then I found this old print ad so maybe this image, as well as the slogan, was burned into my subconscious. I dunno.

As for the screen name, you can find that in the thread on "Explaining your screen name."

And my true personal image? Well, a real pic will have to wait until the Illinois Statute of Limitation, as it pertains to me, expires ... :lol:

Here's my ugly mug with my camping pipe... a good ol Missouri Meerschaum filled with Captain Black White. Taken this past weekend while camping at Mohican State Park, me and my buddies were the only ones roughing it this weekend, and due to weather dubbed the event Slushfest 2010.

What a person likes in pipe tobacco is a matter of personal taste and to each his own. All you Capt. Black smokers have my best wishes, however, I have to admit that the first and only time I tried it I thought it tasted terrible and was going to peal the hide off my tongue! You guys must be tougher than me.
