Sultan of Smoke

When I was fifteen, I had a very cheap pipe with narrow walls and thin shank. I was walking to my friend's house in twenty-something degree, windy weather when the bowl exploded and all I was left with was a stem in my mouth. The pipe cost a buck and a quarter, and wasn't much of a smoker, but it was mine, and I hated that it happened. I learned the lesson of not smoking a thin chamber pipe when it's really cold and windy early in my smoking life.

A clay in my back pocket, bent over to pick something up, you can guess the rest...

The pipe in my avatar picture is the one that got away in the fall leaves of a local park, slipped out of top pocket during leaf fight, but I have never just dropped and broken one I don't think...
@mortonbriar I've lost count of how many clays I've broken...
I hope the clay pipes I made on the workshop at Ironbridge don't get broken in the post!
