There is a possibility of more suspects. This guy asked police if anyone else had been arrested. Seems likely to me based on what I know about the case.

There are theories that it was all some kind of sick challenge between criminology students of which he was studying to get his masters in. It’s all pretty awful , I‘m glad progress is being made. One of the girls slain served me Greek wine on occasion and let me smoke my pipe out front when there wasn’t anyone around.

My take.

Perhaps the only defense this monster has is he was following orders.

What follows is:

Take the death penalty off the table, and he’ll name who ordered him.

Now, his credibility is not good at all.

But he’s been thinking about getting caught since he read where the police were looking for the white Elantra he drives.

True , could all be his own twisted story, guess he waved extradition so he’ll likely stand trial in Idaho sooner than later, wich is good the sooner justice is served and the town can move on the better but he’s left a hole in the lives of many mourners and it’s really sad.

There is a Texas psychic posting dozens of videos on social media claiming a female professor was having an affair with a student and put the student up to the murders.

The perp has had time to concoct a story implicating her.

Or, like the famous case of Leopold and Loeb, he really could have had an actual accomplice.

And consider, they might have the wrong guy. He has an Elantra, he’s a grad student in criminal Justice, and there’s a legitimate explanation for the DNA.

The top expert in the field of bioweapons was suspected, then cleared, in the 2001 anthrax attacks.

It will be interesting to watch.

Thanks for these links and your insight into this , it’s driving my wife a bit crazy. I was hoping it would be a clean “who done it “ open and shut case but just as when it all began there’s just more and more questions all the time.

I heard something about the Female Professor suing the Psychic for defamation. It’s really weird that Professor’s house is right across the street from my Air B and B and she has a very scary life sized stuffed Krampus in a rockingchair on her porch…

My guess is he’ll waive extradition to make the state put up or shut up.

But that’s complicated. They have to process his office, his apartment, his car, his parents home and dump his phone and test his DNA.

The forensics teams will be hard pressed to finish it all in two weeks.

Statutory requirements for his preliminary hearing.

So, they must really have the goods. If not they’d extradite and hold him on some smaller charge, say, just the burglary.

They charged him with the whole enchilada.

So the clock is running. The affidavit is where the money is at.

A new detail about the accused.

He was supposed to be in Pennsylvania after his classes ended. And, was the white car in Washington/Idaho back in November?

Part of the reason Kohberger might want get this over with quickly has to do with the fact he told his attorney he wasn't on the run. On the contrary, LaBar says Kohberger relayed that he and his father drove a white Hyundai from Washington -- where Bryan currently attends university -- back to PA on Dec. 18 ... a plan they'd apparently had all along.

His public defender said he expects to be exhonorated.

Which is a free lawyer’s way of saying the guy said he’s innocent.:)

Stay tuned.

Today the probable cause statement was released and it’s devastating to the perp.

The death penalty in Idaho is rarely given.

Strangely, if not death the sentence is life with no parole for ten years.

Idaho first-degree murder laws state that every person guilty of murder of the first degree must be punished by death or by imprisonment for life, provided that the prosecuting attorney files written notice of intent to seek the death penalty.

If the death penalty is not sought, the court will impose a life sentence with a minimum period of confinement of at least 10 years. During this the offender will not be eligible for parole or discharge or credit or reduction of sentence for good conduct.

This guy was studying for a PhD in criminology and didn’t know the police would catch his white Elantra on multiple cameras, left his DNA on a knife sheath, and while he turned off his phone for three hours during the crime, that phone clinched the case against him both before and after the murders.

But why them?

And why did he leave a witness?

If there was ever a case for the death penalty, here it is.

Those that would kill for the thrill of killing, should take warning.

This evil POS left behind a knife sheath with DNA

He used his phone too much. Then he magically didn’t.

He continued driving the getaway vehicle

They have cell tower dumps with photos of his locations so it’s not a case of “my phone was stolen”

He was stopped four different times on predicate stops.

He voluntarily gave up his phone number.

He drive his own vehicle to the crime scene he had visited 12 times before he did the deed.

THE POS DESERVES DEATH if guilty. And I’m no fan of the death penalty because of how it’s used.

When they gather his DNA it will match the knife sheath and his only defense could be a frame up.

Guy stole my knife.

But he’s hung with those cell phone records and the white Elantra and all those multiple cameras.

It seems clear he targeted the two girls in the same room together. The couple likely were killed when he searched for them.

At an earlier time he’d likely seen them out together. He may have followed them home.

This is one of the most cold blooded evil killers we know of, because his only motive was to murder two beautiful young girls, just for the thrill of it.

One strange thing.

His father flew 2,500 miles to ride home with him.

He had to know the police were looking for his Elantra.

That father is a lucky man, you know?

The perp could have killed both of them by driving off the road at any time.

Or murdered his entire family over Christmas.

This case still bears watching.

An alleged "old schoolmate" said that his father was to blame and had messed him up as a kid, maybe there was a confession and that's why dad came to take him home one last time, guessing the dad is a real POS too, death penalty for this one, let God sort it out, this guy's lost his life privileges for sure ...

What made the Moscow Idaho murders top of the page news, is murders over sex, drugs, or money are local stories. But this one is the bogeyman, a modern Jack the Ripper, no motive, and four college kids murdered in their beds.

As a criminology student the perp was likely familiar with The Man From the Train, about a century old series of axe murders of entire families asleep by an intruder who used an axe from the woodpile.

He intended to never get caught.

The motive was destruction of life, for the thrill of it.

And he’d have been likely to do it over and over, if not stopped.

This is why the death penalty exists.

For the extremely calculating murderer, it serves as a warning to the next one planning such crimes, what the penalty is.

At first, just saw Moscow. Was hoping someone with initials B. P. got shot or something. But it's that rather strange murders involving knife killing. A lot could happen. Remember O. J.? Of course, this guy doesn't seem to have OJ's resources. It definitely seems this whole thing is rather well concocted for some elaborate sick game by someone who's fucked in the head.

We always get surprised when it comes to court and we find that what the police has on a suspect isn't exactly the way they have been telling the press. The police always think that they have an iron clad case, but then it starts getting shaky when we realize that a lot of embellishment has been going on. So, I always just let the jury or judge do their thing. No use wasting time on forming an opinion on crap the press says.

The press always publishes the juicy evidence, don’t they?

There’s likely not many people except old lawyers that closely followed the OJ Simpson trial that know the blood DNA evidence against Simpson was contaminated by EDTA, a blood preservative, and not all of Simpson’s blood draw was accounted for.

Fredric Rieders
During direct examination, he testified that the results reported by FBI Agent Roger Martz showed that EDTA was found in Simpsons blood drop on the back gate at Nicole Brown's home and Brown's blood drop on the sock in Simpson's bedroom.

Nor do they realize that when told Nichole was dead, Simpson’s reply was How are my kids?, and they don’t know Simpson spent a long time being interrogated without a lawyer by Mark Furhman and passed every trap set for him, including offering to have his gun tested (he wasn’t told a knife was the murder weapon).

On the day after the prosecution got suckered into having OJ try on the gloves, I was at a lawyer’s continuing legal education course on evidence.

Every lawyer in there knew we’d seen the worst failure of a prosecutor to prove a case in the history of trials. Marsha Clark put on a dozen witnesses to say the gloves did too fit, but the defense needed none.

This case is far different.

OJ Simpson was the ex husband with a motive. They suspected him and tried and failed to get the evidence to convict him.

This guy was caught by the evidence leading them to a total stranger.
