Embers,I've never tried Balkan Supreme. I'll have to read the reviews. I love latakia (GLP esp.) and would hate to see it gone. Hell, 4-5 pounds would last me a lifetime (what's left of mine)

I used to allot 2 grand per year for pipes and tobacco. I've bought the barbering equipment I needed with part of that budget and still had quite a bit left for panic shopping. Add that to the fact that my wife bought me a pipe that I'll never be able to smoke so I'll call it venting frustration. :mrgreen:

Anyway, my ‘new’ PK. I crumbled one of the ‘brownies’ and it does seem to have more stems/‘lumber’ than I recall. Later tonight when it gets cooler I’ll fire it up in a cob (I prefer PK from a cob) and enjoy the delicious Latakia. I’ve high expectations!

As long a there is Camel shit, Latakia will be forever available. Do you really think they go to the trouble of using different woods to smoke that leaf? Of course they don't. The rumors of them using Camel shit have been around over 20 years, trust me it is true.
Back a decade or so ago they stopped using male Camel shit and switched to female. I noticed the difference right away and stopped smoking English blends.
