Okay. I will probably feel stupid for asking, but what the hell do you use a pollen press for? I figure it is originally for smoking something that I did in the 1970's, but what and how does it relate to pipe tobacco?

Ahhh, but it was mentioned to be used to press tobacco as well.

I think some people have used them to press homemade plugs. I've been wanting to get one to try it out but haven't yet.

Yup, for pressing plugs, or cakes.

I used a homemade press with a c clamp.
