Furandfeather tossing around "erudite" just made me think of the movie. I like the scene because it's an intellectual ass kicking of sorts.
Traitor? You won't get that from me.
I'm a long time small government conservative (Goldwater/Ron Paul and decidedly not George W.) but personally completely understand the position of those who intellectually believe an active government can foster a general societal lift. So I respect where you're coming from. Don't fully agree. But absolutely champion your right to your opinion. That's what personal liberty is all about.
Hope I didn't offend. I was just goofing.

i believe the government should be treated like a two year old child- if you see them with something in their hands that they shouldnt have, you take it away from them and send them to their room with no dinner. they cannot be trusted with the ons they have been given. answer the phones, fix the potholes, catch a few crooks, deliver the mail, but otherwise keep your damn hands out of my liberty!
