I love plugs and it always brings a wry grin to my face when I hear others talking about them.
I used to know a few chaps who'd been in prison and when they wanted to smuggle something in they would get a visitor to pass them whatever it was and then they'd 'plug' it. This basically meant they'd shove the contraband right up their ringpiece so as to hide it from the guards.
Now I'm not for one moment saying you should do this with your tobacco! Although to be fair it would be a novel way to cellar blends and it would probably add an interesting topping too.
