Some nice cutters ... love the big iron slicers. My equipment is less exciting.

The one to left is just for cooking; the one to the right is just for plugs and the occasional rope. A couple Buck knives get some of the tobacco action.

Are we talking about knives to cut plugs into slices to smoke, or knives to whittle some plug into a bowl, or knives to block up plug for mason jars.......?

I use any old cleaver to cut it so it fits in a jar, and an opinel 6 to cut a chunk for my pouch, and to whittle out a bowlful.

Usually I use a Kershaw pocket knife, but my 7" Mercer santoku does better. Nice knife for under 40 bucks, and every bit as good as the $75 Wusthof it replaced.
