I like the "inexpensive" fruitcake the best. I once tried "gourmet" fruitcake, but without the candied fruit, its a no go for me. My fruit cake has gotta have that green, orange, and yellow fruit in it.
I love Taco Bell, hate Baja Fresh. My taco has gotta have "that" Taco Bell fine ground meat.

fruitcake is the haggis of desserts.
i'll take a hot biscuit sandwiched with a cold sliced vidalia anyday.

I have a friend sending me a cake his Parish makes. Hopefully will be here in a couple of days.

I will ask. I think they charge around 15 per but not sure. I should have actually bought more than the one he is giving me.

I also love a moist fruitcake, if it's dry and crumbling then forget it. Warm up a moist fruitcake and serve it in a bowl with custard ... yummy

@toby...Interesting idea with the custard, is that homemade or store bought or even a frozen custard? I have a loaf type of "Gramma's" fruitcake that would be good warmed up I think. 8)
