Hello all,
I am hoping someone with a keener brain than mine can help ID this pipe for me. It was bought as a reject estate for 7GBP ($8ish) and when it arrived it just felt like a quality pipe. The seller thought it was good but couldn't elaborate. The closest I've come to is a Charatan Dublin, but there are so many similar, ranging from entry level to collectable, I've really no idea. It is marked only 'Reject' over 'London Made'. The tenon and mortise are wonky and the stem sits neatly against the shank only in one orientation - turn the stem 180 and it sticks out at an angle. I'm guessing this is why it's a reject. Anyway, do any of you wise folk know which factory this came from and what sort of era?
Many thanks

Snappy shape. The stem doesn't quite sit tight, but if it smokes well, I wouldn't fix it.

Many thanks all. And thanks to Sablebrush for extracting the images.
The stem and mortise are not right, but I'm not going to fix it. It does sit flush against the shank if the bit is lined up one way, but if turned 'upside' down, so to speak, it's out of whack. Think I'll just restain it and add it to my personal collection. I normally refurb and sell on, but it does smoke very well, better than some I use, and I think it looks rather good (and an 'unknown' reject won't pay for my retirement).
Thanks again.
Geoff
