are any of your friends doctors and willing to manipulate? If so just have them write you a prescription for a medicinal tobacco pipe. She won't believe it but there is a chance she'll use the logic of "well there is a very slim chance he might really need it...
Or seriously buy her something just as nice that would normally be something you'd say no to her buying. Make a deal I buy the pipe and you can buy that thing you really like.

Wonder if any of the brand tried aizome on pipes. It's Japanese indigo that has very pleasing dark blue. Would go nice with Jean and t.

Someone mentioned crushed beetles... I believe this is the main ingredient in any shellac product, food grade included.
