Yello-Bole makes a series (or more) of briar pipes, or has in the recent past, one series called a Checker. I have one of those and it's a good little pipe. I'm not sure anyone makes Brylon pipes anymore. Yello-Bole, Medico, and a few others used to sell them. They were often criticized for being too heavy and burning too hot, but they sold for many decades, perhaps because of their extra low prices, often around twenty bucks or less. One Forums member who worked in fire restoration liked Brylon pipes because they were extremely durable and could be smoked and cleaned after use in extremely rough work places. I think I heard they finally suspended making them. Brylon is/was some kind of synthetic material used for pipes since (I think it was) the sixties.

Welcome aboard. I wonder if you have any information about the molds that occur on tobacco. We always have this discussion of plume vs mold, so an educated brain will help us to understand it better.

Welcome

Welcome Pinhead, lots of fun guys here.

I smoked my brigham 316 today, its a great pipe! heavier than most of my regular rotation so it gets a little neglected but I always appreciate it when smoked.
