pipevilleworld here: Use of pipe screens make you any less of a pro?

There's been nothing more friggin frustrating than to experience a clog... less than half way through an hour long smoke. I have tried and been successful with the aid of the pipe screen; ever so wonderfully placed at the base of my bowl. Does this technique make one any less of a pro pipe tobacco smoker?

I would work on technique and skip the screens. Around here if a cop finds a screen in any pipe during a traffic stop you will spend hours getting things straightened out.

Geez... that's good information to know; the police thing. How do you avoid clogging, unclearthur?

try three pinches to load. First loosely then slightly firmer and finally quite firm. It isn't a sin to shoot a cleaner down the stem to open the airway either.
