Think about it. They were probably closed when you made your order and they most likely don't ship on the weekend. Patience is the key with all things pipes.

Yep, I did receive an e-mail earlier today saying my order had been processed and shipped.
Hans, this was not really a question of patience. It was merely that I am used to receiving an automatic confirmation e-mail when I purchase something online. When I didn't, it worried me that the order did not go through.
Thanks for the help fellas. Looking forward to my new tobacco within the next couple of days.

My last order was placed on a Tuesday, and I received the order on the following Friday - ahead of when I was expecting it to arrive.

You lucky buggers, stateside. Mine just cleared Canadian Customs today. But now it changes from USPS Priority (2nd tier shipping) to Canada Post International Package (basically lowest tier shipping). My order took 1 day to go from Albany, NY to Quebec Canada, now Canada Post is saying that it is going to take 10 days to go from Quebec to BC. Not the end of the world, but I thought it would be a day or two after clearing customs. I only have a few bowls left...
:crying:

Wow! Yeah.. I have come to appreciate living in the US as a pipe smoker. For Canada it either sounds super expensive, like a lot of waiting, or both.

I had to return an order from them that was left in the building and opened. They got it a week ago. They are still not ready to act--either reship or refund. They can be procrastinators.

My own experience - mostly exemplary. A rare error or delay, but never anything that made me change my mind that this is a great company to do business with.

I don't know what is going on with them, but it really seems like (from my own experience and from reading about other people's experiences here on the forums) that they are having some serious issues in their shipping department. Sure, there are plenty of other retailers to choose from, but P&C tends to be cheaper on all of their tobacco than other retailers.
They're not a sponsor (not yet, I going to try to convince Scott to become one here), but one of my most favorite online retailers is hilandscigars.com. Their shipping doesn't break the bank, they've got great prices, and they are so awesome. Seriously, I've gotten so much great stuff from them. They send me free swag with my orders, and I've won, so far, ten free cigars from them. And when I placed one of my orders at Christmas, Scott himself called me that evening to let me know that they were currently out of the Zippo pipe lighter I had ordered and that he would sub another Zippo (which was more expensive than the one I had ordered) at no charge. I really like that he would take the time to personally call me to make sure my order was right. So I'm pretty partial to them, and I hope you guys check them out. I also really like SmokingPipes.com and WVSmokeShop.com. CupoJoes.com has a lot of awesome stuff, but I've found that they tend to be a couple dollars more expensive than P&C, Hilands, and SmokingPipes.
But hopefully P&C will sort their problems out because they're a pretty good company that caters to us pipe smokers, and it would be a shame for their issues to cause them to lose customers.

They do have their problems. My Dec. 17 shipment was held up because they were out of some of the H&H tobaccos from their 20% off sale. I didn't mind waiting because I understood the problem. But I called last week to get some FVF and they sent it to me with no problem. They also said they were going to mail out the rest of my Dec. order. That didn't happen. Why? They said my credit card info expired, and the package had been sitting there, waiting for someone to contact me to reverify my info. When I pointed out the inconsistency in the story and that they had it just a few days before when I ordered the FVF, the person couldn't explain it. I wasn't upset, but I did think it very odd. They could have sent everything the same day, and got paid. Well, no harm was done; I could afford to wait. I'll order from them again, but I do shake my head about it a little.
I did think it funny that when they sent a sample of Sweet and Savory for me to try, somebody wrote "Sweet and Simple."

I should also say that for the most part, they work to accommodate you. There's two ladies there, Debbie and Sarah, who always do their best to be helpful and courteous. Russ is the same way.
