I was listening to a bunch of radio shows the other day, and was struck by Brian Levine's warning that you had to be of legal smoking age to listen to the show.
Now I understand that this is a completely unenforceable rule, but it got me thinking:
Who's rule is this anyways?
Is it iTunes? Because I don't use iTunes.
Also, can I listen to the podcast if my kids are around, or do I need to wear headphones?
Why can my kids not listen to the podcast, but the can watch someone smoke on tv or in movies?
What about beer commercials on tv? Why the double standard that kids can be exposed to beer commercials but need to be 18+ to listen to a pipe smoking podcast?
Sort of rhetorical questions, although I would like to know why Brian Levine needs to warn us that we have to be of smoking age.
