I saw this on the interwebs today and thought I'd share. I can see this being my wife and I years down the road, Lord willing. May you all have peaceful piping this Christmas season.View attachment 269232
honestly this painting fills me with a sense of dread. I feel like both the man and dog just realized something horrible is coming up the road. Just imagine some Mad Max style road marauders rolling up on the homestead. Not even being that funny, that is just how that painting has always felt.

That's why I love the 2nd Amendment bro!
because of this painting? Are you the one sneaking up on these people? Or are there more mad max style marauders rolling around your neck of the woods? If there are there are safer places in the country like the rim of an active volcano.
I am going to assume you're saying classic paintings are great for target practice. I agree if you mean copies and not originals.

No, I love the 2nd Amendment because of the scenario you mentioned which never crossed my mind when I saw the painting. But I would say one reason I would not fear such a scenario is because of the ability to defend myself and my family.

well I'd say hopefully you never get to test out the theory but seems pretty far down the list of things that will get us all. Seems like time is a much bigger threat especially when coupled with the aging process. Now if you can find a way to put some slugs in either of them.....
