The ones above and the next several days are from an auction house in Russia. It's a great site and the images are nice, high resolution. I found that when nobody can afford bread and it takes a day standing in line even if you could, that artists are just as creative and moving when using a pencil or charcoal. But one thing confuses me. Isn't an auction the purest form of capitalism?....just saying

In child psychology there is a sheet of a bunch of facial expressions and the child picks the one that looks most like he feels. Maybe Opperman was doing that with his kindly old man and there are more out there with different expressions. :wink:
