Deceiving your parents will eventually work to your discredit. Be honest, and give them a chance to respond well. I remember once in college I screwed up big with a credit card....my dad's a banker....I was sure I was a dead man. I came home, laid it out honestly - and was amazed by their response. Firm, yes, consequences, yes....but so supportive and loving and helped me through my mistake.
