You know there is an award that is presented annually that addresses this issue. Every year at the ChicagoLand Pipe Show two people are inducted as "Doctor of Pipes". The 32 people who have received this award are a veritable "who's who" in the hobby. By rule one person has to be from the industry and the other is from outside the industry. Last year the awards went to Mike McNeil of McClelland Tobacco and Tad Gage.

There's a smart arsed side of me that wants to put in our favorite turkish meerschaum salesman for consideration. Ifter all he's led so many into the wonderfull world of briars and cobs(after dealing with trying to get a Meer from him who can blame them) :crying:

Another "part of me" wants to nominate the "Pipe Babe" Chelsea, for you know really turning me on to pipes. 8O

I guess I'll just have to go with Kevin for at least momentarily bringing them together into one room and introducing us to both. :clap:
