Wonder where the infatuation with the living dead comes from, and why it is especially popular in this time. People feel deadened by technology? People feel separated from their inner vitality? People feel that other people are not fully alive? I always like the idea that a pipe is enlivening, so the idea of smoking out of a carving of decomposing ribs doesn't attract me, but clearly many are drawn to this.

Yeh, I know, mso... vampires and witches at least can be attractive, sexy even... so I can see the attraction to shows and books about them.

But zombies... I just don't even feel slightly interested in reading or watching a show about them.
