As an Orlik collector, just be grateful I didn’t post a pic of my brass ring

The progression of a family sleeve. Each animal is a family member. I’m the Dragon, my wife is the Ram, and the Boar is my oldest. I have a Tiger to get for my youngest. The background will be a sky blue with Japanese Cherry Blossoms.

Might have a pipe “growing” from one of the branches!

I have several tattoos and I think I am probably the only tattooed person that regrets every single one of them. Too much attention.... therefore my collection of long sleeve shirts year round. I got them from age 16 to 20 and I've thought of removing some of them because I don't like to call attention to myself but they were given to me by Lyle Tuttle and he is an iconic tat artist that is no slouch when it comes to tattoo work. I feel like I would be throwing a bunch Picassos into the fire.
I also have a body shirt of his tattoos.

Another leg shot for @macaroni this is on my ankle and is inspired by one of my favourite theologians Kenneth E. Bailey. It’s the phrase “beside the still waters” in Arabic, with the lettering depicting a river and Lebanese cedars. My wife however thinks I’m full of it, and it is really just a dude lying down having a smoke.

Love your tattoo pix Ahi :))) (I first wrote, "love your leg" and edited 'cause I don't think it captured my intention well LOL!)

I like lots of tatoos--including jailhouse and homemade ink. Not all, but lots. And as for secret society tatoos--if you like it, ink it. As for secret societies or clubs, If it's meaningful to you, helpful in some way--whether keeping things in balance or social reasons, or even for family or business reasons--like perhaps my Grandfather and Father-in-Law with their respective memberships in the Masons--good for you. I wonder if those of you with club or special "society" tatoos--whether or not you've experienced a mild form of "shunning" from other members who don't/didn't appreciate the group's icons inked onto your skin? Just wondering? I'm not referring to military tatoos (but I'm interested in those--having almost gotten one 40 plus years ago in Oceanside, CA except for a Bruce Lee movie that was stating soon--and my buddies didn't want to wait LOL!).

Anyone remember seeing a warning sign in a tatoo "parlor" or studio? "Drive carefully--broken tatoos are hard to mend.

Also, I have no empirical data, but for some reason I suspect the name "parlor" is no longer in vogue and if any place name is used, it more likely may be, "studio?" Wrong? Right? Why?

As for, "parlors," -- which for me originally referred only to either "beauty parols," or, "tatoo parlors," is there anyplace that advertises itself as a, "parlor?" I'm wondering if the word has fallen out of favor? Do hair salons and tatoo studios, when called such, provide a more "artsy" connotation? Just wondering your thoughts. I'm drinking Paddy's and smoking C&D's Gentleman Caller in a straight Former billiard (and for me, "Gentleman Caller" conveys someone in D.C on 14th St, NW looking for entertainment LOL!).
