I see the mistake there, but again it kind of lines up with chemistry so it's not really an opinion. It does change it, but what matters is can you notice the difference.Which makes it so.
A deeper bowl allows for more ash to build up due to the shape of the bowl, it's not mitigated to just the technique. The technique affects it greatly, but you can have a 2 inch deep bowl that can build up an 1 inch of ash which is not possible in a 1.25 inch bowl. Wider bowls have a hotter smoke since more surface area is exposed to burn. These are intrinsic to the shape of the bowl and do affect the heat, dissipation, flavor, and performance of a smoke.Neither the bowl's nor the chamber's shape affect that. Those are up to the technique of the smoker.
The differences may be marginal but they are there and noticed by some. The opinion comes down to more if you can notice it at all.
