Pipe Socks Of Another Sort

As a man who knits I’ll let you know that socks take a loooong time. Can’t imagine making them for anyone other than wife or kids. Knitting is a relaxing activity with a tangible outcome. Unlike TV…
Maybe that pattern on a winter hat would be more realistic for sharing. I’m sure a skein of Alpaca ain’t cheap.

She said a skein of alpaca runs $20-30 now. She was able to use yarn she had on hand for the socks.

I don’t question her yarn horde and she doesn’t question my tobacco cellar.

I've been the fortunate recipient of many hand-knit items from my wife over the years. I got this double layered wool scarf a couple of winters ago.

The script is the Elvish inscription in the Black Speech of Mordor from the One Ring (Lord of the Rings).
